CHATLINE

Chatline

Welcome to Chatline, the online counterpart to McGill Students' Nightline.

We are happy to announce that after a period of technical difficulties affecting our service, we will be reopening Chatline tonight from 6pm-3am! We appreciate your patience during our closure. We are always seeking to provide a better version of our service, and are glad to be able to share it with you now. To use Chatline, please visit our website here.

Please note that while Chatline is currently open, due to exceptional technical difficulties, our phone lines are currently not in operation. We will be posting updates here or via our social media as we work to restore the phone lines. You can also click here for other phone lines, chat lines and resources.

About Us

Chatline is a student-run, online extension of McGill Students’ Nightline.

We are a confidential, anonymous, and non-judgmental messaging service that provides support to the McGill and greater Montréal community. Our volunteers are not professionals; we are a peer-support service. We aim to provide the community with a variety of support, which includes anything from information to crisis management and referrals. We are an English service. Everyone is welcome to use Nightline.

Please note that our lines are open during exams, but closed during summer and winter break.

Click here for more information on McGill Students’ Nightline, and check us out on Facebook.
